Nikon's first mirrorless cameras were announced in 2011, so around the same time as Fuji's X-Pro1. While a lot of people mocked the Nikon 1 series (because of their strange form factors and handling), they were the only mirrorless

IIRC, Canon's 1" sensor cameras use Sony sensors too. Don't know if their smaller sensor cameras are home made or not though.

That attitude shows up in any domain where one can feel like they belong in the top tier of "knowledge". You could just as well be talking about preferences in operating systems, barbecue sauce, coffee, diets or web frameworks.

Have you considered the 9-18 for traveling? I have an equivalent lens for my Nikon J5 (so I'm in no rush to pick up the 9-18 - or I should say -was- in no rush prior to the Oly announcement), and it's the lens I use the most durin

I used to prefer focals in the 40-60 normal range (ff equiv), but the 45/1.8 was the first lens I bought after making the switch to M43, and it's still my favorite lens to this day.

If you're not a pro, there's no reason why you still can't switch. Size does matter in terms of whether you bring your gear with you or leave them at home. Panasonic is still making cameras. All of the M43 cameras since aroun

I have to think it's going to be tiny, cool (as in temperature) and use a fraction of the electricity that the latest Mac Pro does. As for the pro software that currently requires a physical dongle for DRM, I'm guessing those vend
