I think all these approaches for code-generation have been around for a while and are interesting for web-agencies but as soon as you need to have more finer grained control they lose their initial benefits. SwiftUI has really shined in thi

What if the artist himself had all the crypto? Created hundreds of fake personas (addresses) and took part of the auctions to create hype on what essentially is buying his own work? Catching a few gullible people on the way.

Isn't this how the entire field of "collectibles" works? Makes total sense to me. Why do people think this is lunacy and selling music isn't? (just curious)

Have you compared this with using Merkle Trees? Would be curious how big the size of a merkle branch is in comparison to the bloom filter set.

You could make it illegal, but there are ways to be completely anonymous and still use it, and have no way for anybody to know that you performed a transaction (not even governments). So fundamentally, sure making it illegal will make the h

I fail to see anybody mention this but isn’t UX entirely subjective? Also big corps have AB tested the hell out of everything leading to a UX that converts the most and hence is probably the best. Complaining about bad UX and then not showi

Indeed. I think Craig is a fraud. I'm just dumbfounded why Gavin --a person I admire from intial days and who is probably person n.2 after satoshi in terms of bitcoin actual initial lines of code written -- was so easily fooled.

A while ago he (this Craig Wright fraud) actually sat with one of the first people behind bitcoin development Gavin Andresen. Gavin was the main developer in the beginning chatting with satoshi in the forum. There was a video of Gavin sayin

What kind of actual real world use-cases has ethereum's programmable "contracts" enabled? It's been out there for a while yet I fail to see where it made an impact.

Bitmessage is a really cool project because it relies on PoW (proof-of-work) to send messages. Hence for spammers to flood the network would require lots of computing power. This means that the network should be full of healthy messages tha

That's kind of fascinating. Would you suggest some reading on this? Question: if I send to other 3 players (via gossip say) the event "in frame N, I clicked the B button that causes monster to die" but my network lags and in

Interesting so commands are sent to other players async? Doesn’t that mean that some players will see things different than others? I my friend A stabs a monster and my other friend B also stabs a monster but they come in different order I

It’s probably really simple: if you normally load a ROM game and start a multiplayer game you control all the other players input. This simply goes next step and makes other inputs be controlled by other players.

Do commands have to go through a server? Maybe using WebRTC to send commands directly to the other players is faster (like video/audio does it)

This is by far the best engineering hack of the year: Use off-shelf-chatrooms-software to create rooms but instead of chatting you send ROM game commands to each other and allow for multiplayer gaming!
