Imagine a web where you could just write to the users clipboard without a plugin + requiring a click. It would NEVER be safe to Ctrl+V again!

I see it working out roughly as well as the extremely costly "war on drugs". HINT: drugs won.

This works nearly flawlessly for me since 4.0. So so many Excel files. Ugh.

Agreed. Apple shares are tanking worldwide. You have to really specifically cherry pick to make their mobile share look good. This is why they don't do pie charts during their product launches anymore.

Just one more reason to upgrade from iOS to Android. We have real Firefox and real Chrome over here... and have had them for yeaaaars now.

So this is why he bailed on the Angular team?

People here at HN really love to hate on Angular for some reason. This article doesn't even make any sense, but it's still getting voted up.

Yay! Another new image thing for 1 browser to support and the rest to need polyfills for!

Chrome to Firefox is a large upgrade. No one that cares about their privacy should still be using Chrome.

DNS is inherently fault tolerant. That's why you can specify more than one NS record (if server A is down, go to server B!) on a domain. Unfortunately if you use Namecheap's DNS service, you CAN'T specify failover / sec

Skype Killer... No Windows client. Oh Hacker News, you do realize that very few people actually use Macs in the business world, right?

Now that Brackets.io is 1.0 and Atom is getting more mature, is Sublime Text really still relevant? It should go FOSS to stay competitive.

You are correct. If you try to go to inbox.google.com, it says "Sorry, this only works in Chrome."

I've been reminding everyone I know who still uses Chrome to try Firefox again. Many have switched back. It's simply a better browser. One e10s is in stable, it's going to be even better. Google is a for-profit company that m

Cool demo. I like it. I'm looking forward to a plugin-free web! Now if only we could get people to upgrade from IE8 and 9.

Title misleading. "The most popular unofficial reddit app FOR iOS" (which is 1/5th as used as Android). Presumably there are more popular unofficial reddit apps out there when you start counting Android.

All of the mass shootings in the US have occurred in "gun free zones" (for example schools) where law-abiding people can't legally bring guns. Regardless of what your TV told you, non-law-enforcement people in the US can&#x2

Isn't this kind of backwards when we have tools like http://gfycat.com/ that can make MP4/WebM? Animated GIFs are HORRIBLE in terms of file size and quality compared to actual MP4/WebM video files, which are

In the *nix world, when something gets abandoned people are pretty quick to move on. I've been using tmux for a long time as well and see no need to even consider going back to screen.
