Anyone know if it is still legal to rent one of your rooms on airbnb if you are also staying there at the same time? Like if I have a two bedroom apartment, can I still rent out one of them on a daily/weekly basis if I am staying in th

Engine (to me) also implies a monolithic process where something goes in one end, work is done, and something is produced. A compute engine computes things, a search engine searches things, a game engine does game computations, etc.

But, does Amazon pay the $500k even if the winner doesn't actually beat current state of the art? Seems like you just have to beat out the other competitors.

Cool. Thanks. Containers seem overkill, but compute engine seems like it would work. FWIW "Compute Engine" makes it seem like some API for machine learning or big data processing. I would not have guessed it was Google's vers

I still haven't figured out how to run a blog sized web app with Java 8 or python 3 on a Google product that isn't in experimental mode yet. Where should I start if that's my goal?

Yes, I don't own a car because I don't care... It has nothing to do with my crippling student loan debt and my need to live within walking distance of public transportation.

I'm confused, how did her website get around the restricted internet in China? The article mentions there are other similar baby naming websites, but China does not have access to them . What makes her site special?

Because info spreads more quickly now-a-days and even if 99% of people think it's okay to leave a kid unattended in a given situation, the 1% that care are more likely to see these situations and make a big stink out of them.

Yea, I was just kidding. Also, selling the exploit to Apple is more of a guarantee than waiting around to see if the government needs it (assuming you want to stay legal).

It was tongue in cheek. The original AI researchers posed the problem of General Intelligence to a single grad student and thought he would have it completed by the end of the summer... 50+ years later here we are with no solution.

I think the point is 1) it encourages more people to go the black hat way and 2) $1000 just isn't worth all the time people spend not finding bugs before finding one. So no one is encouraged to look in the first place except maybe th

As someone who works in anti-fraud, would you be able to detect someone who was playing manually, but had a bot set up to tell them what to do (and then they would manually input the move)? Is that even illegal or against the rules?
