> Everyone who authorized this funding needs to be voted out. If we really care the signal is to take away the power of people who decided to use this. Yes, and we should continue to nullify convictions for activists fighting this techno

If you are a citizen like this person is then you can tell them to fuck off, they can keep the phone, and they have to let you in.

It is so coincidental that I have been working on a fork of Kilo to do the exact same thing. I wonder if it has any effect on watermarking. I came across this other project yesterday which appears to have the same goal (unaffiliated and I h

That's pretty reductive. Or do you not see a difference for example between someone speeding to get to the hospital vs speeding to elude police after a bank robbery?

I think part of the balance is that law requires discretion because humans are not good at making deny lists which the law boils down to.

I think your parent's point is even larger than that. To be alive is to engage with risk. There are no stores of value that withstand all decay.

How many people prefer having an AI gate customer support, for instance? I don't think we are talking about two groups here.

Would be interesting to see anti competition law applied here, too. Essentially bundling the two together, leveraging the market for car play to gain adoption for Siri.

Would be a great angle as a buyer's agent to proactively show clients flock camera locations. At the same time, would be an interesting way to hinder the sale of a property by falsely reporting flock cameras where none are.

I found hermes to be really lightweight, though I am on a relatively older version and built a custom plugin to lazily load mcps (that's probably in hermes proper by now). Compared to kilo it seems to consume far fewer tokens.

In an ideal sense you're right, but so long as AI is created by people and those people don't have universal agreement, our products will mirror our faults. Interesting to think about the variance in personalities of AI produced b

It feels a lot like externalities. Like planned obsolescence increases profit at the expense of the environment. Is our judgement lacking because our scoring is failing to account for these externalities? I could be completely off base here

Why do we need universal agreement? We acknowledge that different cultures have different tolerances and customs. Your reply leaves me wanting. Why say that we need to demonstrate how to live honorably if we don't even agree on what ho

How do we reward honor? Honor does not always pay off as a strategy and requires coordination in that other actors have to exhibit honor for it to be rewarded. At least with humans there is a social backstop but what's the parallel for
