Speaking for myself the killer application for Vision Pro comes from the resolution and audio. If the audio/screen resolution is as good as their announcement suggested and it’s as comfortable to wear as they suggested then it’s compe

When talking about statistics one can not credibly say, If you are interested in getting an educated answer, crunch the numbers yourself along with your own life experiences and come to your own conclusions…. Anecdotes do not constitute g

You wrote this: For example, "reduced weekly social hangouts by more than three hours a week" sounds impressive until you remember a week is composed of 7 days, and 3 hours / 7 days = ~0.43 hours a day, or approximately 26 m

I think it’s clear that the article’s author does not mean it literally that everyone stopped hanging out. It’s hyperbole.

I believe your knowledge of how police actually work is at odds with the reality of the situation. Your reference to "either done in gang neighboourhoods.." indicates that at least as it pertains to the U.S. you are ill informed.

The majority of murders go unsolved. The vast majority of rapes go unsolved. Police regularly don’t even spend the money to process DNA samples. I’m not an expert on this topic but it seems to me that the police in big cities largely don

It seems like a relevant topic. It is estimated that at least 50% of the internet is bot driven. It’s certainly plausible to believe that Russia and China are engaged in an information war against adversaries and that they are winning. In

I haven’t rejected any arguments for god’s existence per se. I’ve rejected arguments that follow a pattern I mentioned. I think you underestimate the amount of simplistic reasoning people engage in on this topic. I could be wrong. Good

Everyone has an unsophisticated view about something. And most people lack sophistication in most topics. I’m not evaluating beliefs as such but rather pointing out the logical contortions that some theists engage in to rationalize their

The set of people to whom I speak of does not contain major theist philosophers. The essence of arguments you wrote boil down to assuming that god has no property which falls into the category of “must have cause outside itself”. Such a be

Everyone is a idiot some of the time. No one is immune to making bad decisions. No one can be vigilant at all times. There’s no such thing as non idiot customers. There are people who make fewer bad decisions than the average/medi

There are lots of people who do believe the Bible teaches that the universe is young. It is such people I'm referring to. I make no claims on the legitimacy of their belief. Though I look askance on their response to the fact that sc

Euler had way more impact than Erdos. Euler laid the foundation for a vast amount of applications. Erdos did establish probabilistic methods in graph theory and combinatorics but outside of that I’m not aware of other foundational breakth

It’s hard to compare people in different eras. Erdos certainly wrote down a vast number of notes that didn’t become published. I think much of Euler’s volumes that are mentioned in the link you supplied would be considered notes nowadays.
