In an ideal world this would be feasible. Few people have the pricing power for their labor to do this. I'd classify what you call a failed business transaction as a failure of government to enact necessary labor laws.

I’ve noticed that when I’m on my deck the XS WiFi signal is below 1 mbps while my iPad Pro is at 80 mbps. When I’m closer to the router both devices get roughly the same download speeds.

What you write is true but one can never know for sure if you are in a nice company. Even if you are in a nice company today you don’t it will remain nice. You don’t know what economic factors will occur that may turn the company culture

Is there a meaningful difference when the latter buys it from the former? Or when the latter can easily force it from the former?

It goes beyond these things. You get a quality of life enhancement by being in a more community centric environment. Less pressure overall. No one wonders if there is something wrong with you when you take 3 weeks off in a row. Being ab

I'm a mathematician and I have done programming professionally but it just doesn’t interest me. My training in pure math got me focused on showing something can be done or that a solution exists. When I think of a software project I

I don't know the answer to this. In Berlin I had no car and walked everywhere near my flat. Just strolling around I would end up finding shops, cafes, whatnot. When I used public transportation I had a destination in mind. So it was

I lived for a while in Berlin. Coming back to the U.S. the first thing I noticed were too many billboards and ugly parking lots. Each store has its own parking lot. Largely underused. No nice paths to traverse the bleak endless parking

A sphere has surface area and volume. I didn’t claim or imply that I thought area meant volume. It does not have area and the formula for the surface area of a sphere is not pi r^2. I mentioned this in my original post. Then there is th

Sphere's have surface area and volume. Neither of those quantities is given by the formula for the area of a circle. I’m not a physicist and can’t speak to the merits of the rest of your post but this error of yours makes me doubt yo

The line you quote from Wikipedia is not the definition of a nonlinear system. EDIT: The definition depends on the area of math you are working in. The definition of a nonlinear system of differential equations is different than the defin

That is not the meaning of the term. However, if you are to describe what the big deal is about finding ways to analyze nonlinear systems to lay people then what better description is there?

By definition, all axioms are not derivable within the axiom system they define. We can talk about sand but that does not mean our minds are sand or sand machines. We can talk about infinity within a set theory that contains that concept.

Your complaint appears to be about the rate of your taxation and the return on benefits from taxation but not on the concept of taxation. This is related to but not the same thing as a fear of taxation. A number of people in the U.S. have

Race, abortion, and an irrational fear of taxation are enough to keep people voting against their self interests. These are important factors to consider when trying to understand voting patterns in the U.S.
