Maybe they fixed something because I'm currently in a training session with about 25 people with a bunch of breakout rooms and shared docs and CPU is hovering around the 3% mark (but we mandated that you only turn your video/mic o

I must be extremely naive then because I've always assumed this is what would happen when you do a namesearch via any of these providers.

The problem that Netlify has is that they are simply a feature of the big cloud providers. Microsoft is already testing the waters with their own offering and I'm sure AWS and Google are as well. I'm not sure Netlify will survive

It's easy and fun plus a fantastic workout. Until you get hit in the eye with a ball. (Yes, I foolishly used to play without eye protection)

Fascinating, and genuinely refreshing. Wonder if we could go one further and have tournaments where the rules changed to a different ordered variation after a set number of moves. Now that would be mind bending.

Vue is the one js framework that was really a breeze to learn. In most cases, your first attempt at doing something in Vue will just work the way you intuit it to work. Docs are fantastic as well. Congrats to Evan You for a stellar job

Me too, and probably possible as hack that any decent developer can do right now. In fact when camera enabled glasses looked like they were going to be a thing that was the very thing I imagined taking off. You grab a piece of paper and hap

Yes, found that docu-series highly frustrating because they left out so much. But I suppose there was only so much time.

There is literally no downside to Apple allowing alternative app stores on their platforms. They could even do it in such a way that they waive all responsibility should you choose to use one.

If Facebook squares off against Apple in a PR war they'll lose every time. Should have kept this in the boardroom.

I was happy learning Svelte, felt like a breath of fresh air with how simple it was in comparison to the other more popular frameworks...but then when I started to kick the tires of Sapper I quickly realized that that's where all the c

Ehh, this is the bed the tech press made, quite frankly. Yes, I'm still bitter at how any attempts at a third mobile platform were brutally laughed off by the tech media, often unfairly and with undertones of glee. Now we are in this v

Must be pretty disorienting if you're an EU lawmaker who loves these products and have to make these calls. Apple products are beloved the way sports teams are. Now you have to decide if those products should be tarnished (because that

This would be an absolute game changer. Everyone aspires to own a Macbook but either flat out can't afford one or can't justify the price. (I'm in the second camp) This changes all of that.

It's a pity that so many companies have effectively locked themselves inside the walled garden. They did it willingly too and it's fantastic until it's not. Every time the topic of Apples app store rules comes up on HN the ge

It's much easier to do now that pretty much everything has moved to the web. It's actually impressive that Microsoft has been able to pivot to such an extent that this news doesn't sound the death knell.

Must be nice to be an upstart. You have a throng of tech savvy people to defend you at best and forgive you at worst. If this was a Microsoft/Google product it would be pilloried to death.
