I don't think most small countries are as pressured towards an arms race, compared to Israel! Doesn't detract from their achievement, of course.

Berlin is a lot cheaper than any of Australian cities, from what I saw. There are a lot more expensive cities in Europe though, like even Münich if you want a German example.

UUIDs also have a hashed namespace in them, don't they? Not sure if that version implements them.

I'm no medical professional, but if you're ADHD without the hyperactivity, isn't that just ADD, which is also a recognised disorder?

AMP is just _bad_, IMO. Content regularly is broken till you visit the actual site, sites don't follow my dark mode preferences, and interactive elements don't translate that well sometimes. It feels like someone printed out a web

Thanks, at least someone got me! I was trying to call out randomly blaming people who, if anything, would be on their side, but it seems like most people misunderstood me.

I never said it was? I said if anything the SJWs they are blaming would be on their side, so it's a weird dig to make.

If anything, there's, from my experience, a good overlap between the SJW types, and the people who push for accessibility/ a11y as the cool kids call it, as it sorta falls under the inclusion initiatives. EDIT: I was clearly disag

My prediction is something will go horribly wrong, then they will go "see, we tried modern tech and it fucked us over", and they will commit to seeing their code and tech stack turn a century old before considering any updates.

The ease of straight up abandoning countries could have a minor rise in extremism leading to a full-on takeover. All the decent people would want none of that, and life would be easier elsewhere anyway. Such infighting and geopolitical issu

I can't see how that would be possible, unless every country is equally wealthy and all wars and conflicts cease. What's anyone's incentive for staying in Syria, Iraq, Cuba, or Ukraine when bad things happen? What is going to

I'm looking into YOLO for this, but it's moreso to verify your selfie == image on document, and we want to avoid sending highly sensitive information to third party providers. The current service we use, while accurate, costs 50 c

Not that it's something I'm proud of, but when I had worse mental health, I hung on to a few partners just for the sake of being less lonely, and to make up for the lack of support network through family, etc. Relationships are in

That is true for either definition of position ;) I subscribe to the theory from How I Met Your Mother - there's always a settler and a reacher in a relationship. It's just unavoidable, though over time the two might swap, for wha

Search is all kinds of borked, even without that. I had a file I was working on recently, "vuln2.docx". "vuln2" won't bring it up, but "vuln" will, alongside the other ones I had been working on. WHY?
