I'd say genocide is a bit... Strong, something like terminate might be just as apt, and less likely to get you fired!

Humanity has been killing and enslaving each other for time immemorial, so I'd wager at some point, most civilizations were enslaved to some extent. Maybe recency plays into this, but it's been abolished in the US for a fair few g

Why go through the hard effort of making real change happen, when the masses are appeased by token gestures that solve 0 problems people actually face?

What about masterpiece, master's degree, skill mastery, etc? Seems like an complete ban on the word is the intended outcome.

So is the intended outcome a complete ban on the word "master", context be damned? What about master's degrees, skill mastery, masterpiece? Surely if you see slavery references anywhere you find the word "master" us

It's not just a developer thing, it's used in lots of other places, like master/ slave cylinders, etc.

How are these changes necessary? What problem does moving git branches away from being references to master copies solve?

I'm confused by the number of contributors and stars for what seems like, from the README, a project that is 10% of the way to an MVP, if that.

It looks like a Mac hello world GUI project though! Needs a bit more on screen to demonstrate anything.

It was going to be in relation to the British rule helping abolish it, but it's not completely gone still, is it? During travels through small towns in the western part of India, I heard about a local case around 2010, but allegedly th

I lived in India for a bit, and no shit they wouldn't share it. It's a horrible form of discrimination, worse than racism in some ways, IMO. You could, historically, spread your "untouchableness" by contacting people of

The backend service I'm using doesn't have cached CI yet, so the entire build takes ~20 seconds. The CircleCI free tier is good enough for now, and more time is spent pulling dependencies than building, anyway. The build pulls in

Astute observation. Yes, I'm asking you to explain why the 2012 connector is better than the 2014 one, because that's the one I have doubts about, as opposed to the obsolete 2007 one. Would you rather break a $10 cable or a $800 p

There's a latency overhead to cgo calls that isn't really on the list of things to be optimised. Renders the language unusable for wrapping around OpenGL and the likes, in a (complex) gaming context. See issues like this: https:&

What a lame strawman. First off, that's not even food that would be digestible by a human. Secondly, reasonable people don't say all calories are equal, but that estimating TDEE + calories eaten is the best calculation to make for
