When I was last in a dealership parking lot, it was a hot day and they had three of the same model in black, silver and white, all baking out in summer sun. The roof of the white car was noticeably cooler to the touch than the silver or bla

Sure, but for Apple to change its policies specifically in this case is for Apple to take sides in a political conflict/civil war. I don't think that's a viable outcome either. Apple doesn't have any good options here; I

Not an annoying nitpick at all. Different perspectives are enlightening. No, I haven’t been impressed by Apple Music curation. But I haven’t been impressed with Spotify recommendations either. I dare say that the best approach will require

Apple Music is mostly a holdover from the decade of the iPod and iTunes Music Store. They already had a strong market position and it would have been capitalist suicide to abandon it wholesale. I don't agree that it sucks compared to S

That’s true of all closed source software, not just walled gardens. Any time you don’t have the source, you’re trusting that the developer isn’t screwing you over. I’d rather trust Apple than the cumulative two dozen developers that have th

Most people in the western world already have access to far more calories than they need. Many already consume more than they should. For these people, bread would be a net detriment since it's mostly empty calories. The only health ar

If you need calories, you can always wash your broccoli down with a block of chocolate. Seriously though, there's plenty of calories in the coconut oil, half a lemon and a modest serving of protein. And it's not like you're g

Your "low sugar" bread is only low sugar until you eat it. Whole wheat is mostly polymers of glucose sugar and it's turned into sugar when your body digests it. Bread is a good source of calories but offers little in the way

I agree with all of that. Though I won't have a bad word said about broccoli. Lightly stir-fry your broccoli in coconut oil, pinch of salt and half a lemon and it's easy to get to 2,000 calories—and makes a satisfying meal alongsi

It still boggles my mind that wheat is considered a health food. Even so called ‘whole wheat’ is mostly sugar in the form of starch polysaccharides combined with a bit of protein and unremarkable amounts of fibre. I'm not saying that s
