Tip: to help make even smaller proof of concepts use a Teensy [1] instead of an Arduino. [1] https://www.pjrc.com/teensy/

File under posts from the reddit front page 2 days ago. Anyway these foods have been processed. What many people don't realise is that your "natural" fruits have been artificially ripened. There are food safety processes too

> But some people could still think of it as bad That's great. They can continue to think that. But overall improved health stats is an objectively better position. I am aware that it doesn't end the debate, for precisely the r

Increasing welfare will likely improve the lives of those who are using it, including those who are taking advantage of it. You did not disprove my point at all.

There is no "correct" position. But there are positions that are objectively better if you measure outcomes like health, education, safety, prosperity etc etc.

No mention of believing what your parents told you to believe (consciously or otherwise). This seems to be the biggest factor among people I know.

How is this a new standard? Many people publish code and data sets alongside their paper. It's the best way to earn citations.

You can safely ignore any recipes that suggest the use of Olive Oil. The taste overpowers everything else.

It's a shame that the PID values aren't exposed directly in text boxes but you can affect how the ball behaves (react faster/slower or cause under or overshoot) by adjusting the kp, ki and kd values.

Proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controller is a feedback loop algorithm for control. You give some desired goal (in this case is to reach a position) and it moves to that goal by iteratively attempting to minimise the error (in this

Isn't that the default behaviour for most linear algebra systems? (e.g. MATLAB). Maybe I'm missing something but I don't really care about compile time checking and it seems an impossible task anyway with variable/dynami

Look at the "Eigen" [1] library for C++. It's totally possible to do linear algebra in a staticly typed environment. You just need to use generic types. However it isn't as pleasant as doing it in a dynamicly typed envir

Oh the Phantom 2 can be fast too (not as fast as those I linked to though). The Naza flight controller is very restrictive.

There's always so much fear around quadcopters being weaponised. Yet it hasn't happened to RC helis which have been around much longer.

IMO it's more fun watching mini-quads than fixed-wing FPV videos especially from the very best pilots like Charpu, BorisB, Final Glide, Blackout etc. The scream on FinalGlides 6S quad [4] gives me chills. Crashes are always fun too, li

In the end this is why I decided to quit WoW (~2007). I realised that I was not actually gaining anything from it, since the game requires such little skill to play (even in PvP and end game instances). Not to mention the massive time sink.

About arXiv licensing: most people choose the minimal licensing because they are submitting the paper to a conference of journal. If you put the paper in the public domain or under a cc license then you risk the journal or conference reject

Because it's a few years old it's missing the two big guns in acro flight: clean flight and base flight (and the drama between the two camps). Also some of the information about the PID controllers is a likely out of date and with

This is exactly right. We must eat Sushi as it was originally eaten. Any other method is blasphemy. Just like Hamburgers should only be eaten if passed through a drive-thru window and Croissants eaten under a waning crescent moon.
