I think the idea is a great one, just not for this audience. Hackers use the desktop as little as possible, but my mother clutters her desktop with EVERYTHING. Personally, I think you are on a good path. After using it briefly it felt pre

I worked for Imagineering for a bit and we would do all of our work in the parks at night. It is relatively quiet but there are plenty of white pick up trucks and workers around. We did some stuff with the Indiana Jones ride and it was rea

I have been saying this since the first proclamation that HTML5 will kill Flash. It will not kill Flash CS it will kill the Flash Player. Artist and designers still need a tool to build content, Flash CS will continue to be that tool.

Seriously, why is this even on HN? I would have loved to see a coherent argument against putting game mechanics into everything, but this certainly is not it.

Credit cards do the exact same thing. Sure they will deactivate it, but if you put a charge on it for 60 days it is reactivated. This was a pain for me because almost all my bills are automatic payments.

It is funny how Apple manages to simply punish everyone for the bad behavior of a few. This would really frustrated me because the poor guy was not evening buying the entire thing using a gift card. He was only using it to cover a portion.

This is really awesome. This really showcases what I think HTML5 will be great for: procedural/algorithmic content. I think Flash will still be king until someone creates an authoring tool that can allow artists to easily animate something

From the article: "Doing these kinds of analyses is notoriously imprecise, in some cases amounting to little more than guesswork." That is does not paint a very good picture, and when looking into the actual report and what industries are c
