The last time I bought an HDMI cable I checked local stores because I didn't want to pay shipping on a $5-10 cable. The cheapest cable I found was on sale for $20 or something. Turns out it's cheaper to go with Monoprice and pay shipping on

I suppose this may do for articles that just deliver some facts. However the kind of stuff I enjoy reading doesn't just barf up some facts in the form of sentences, it provides insight into what the implications of those facts may be and al

Although I don't use NoScript (or NotScripts) anymore the web was far less annoying without arbitrary JavaScript. I never had to leave a site because some irrelevant box popped up over the page I was looking at, or about to be. It will be e

I think one key factor in the average quality of workers found in North America and elsewhere is the social aspect of career choice. In North America there's a pretty strong culture of pursuing jobs that people are interested in and enjoy.

Github's widest margins are obviously at the high end business plans, and businesses would run an internal github in a second if it was OSS. There goes Github FI as well. It would cripple them, the only way they can possible host all open s
