Not from idea to launch as I spend a lot of time daydreaming about projects before I begin work, but SendToMyCloud.com and PrivateForms.com both took less than a month to build, part-time.

Absolutely not. Never wear gloves when operating spinning tools. If you're morbidly curious, do a Google image search for "degloving". [NSFW: Gore]

Ideally the price would be lower, yes. I have a suspicion that the price increase is due to BOTH a need to recoup R&D and the perceived value of the "safe" saw.

I agree that it's a bad analogy, but I understand and agree somewhat with the parent's point. You don't want to go from driving a vehicle where the consequences of a collision is "a $100 part replacement" to driving

If it's mandatory, the licensing should be both compulsory and FRAND (fair, reasonable and non-descrimatory). I'd be happy if my saw had the tech.

The Reaxx is comparable (almost the same saw, just without the safety component) to the saw that I use (Bosch 4000-09) and IIRC it cost $1499 before the injunction, compared to the 4000-9's $600.

Currently it's just saws from SawStop (now owned by Festool, IIRC?). Bosch released a saw with similar tech (called Reaxx -- https://www.boschtools.com/us/en/more/news-and-extras/specia... ) but they

Sometimes, usually depends on the source domain. For instance, if it's a science article from a very-mainstream news source, I'll usually just skip the article altogether (unless I expect there will be pictures).
