There's definitely Cinemark theaters with 70mm. I saw Dunkirk at one. More importantly, though, not very many movies were/are shot in that format. Not enough to really build a business on.

I honestly think the original vision was something similar to Amazon: bleed money when they are an online bookstore, make it all back when they swing for the fences and go for replacing all of retail. Likewise, Uber might lose money as a ta

Certainly not humor. I've met with my republican legislators (well, met with staffers at one, called others) - their official position really is that Net Neutrality is BigGovernment(tm) and they need to get rid of it to protect the lit

IMHO, but as a (rather) sports-loving geek, I think a lot of it is the fact that the aspects of sports that (stereotypically) won't interest geeks get emphasized a lot in news/media/sports coverage - a lot of the coverage foc

As a once-a-decade new car buyer, I think the problem with this strategy is the risk profile. There's a decent chance that the 3 year old car will be fine, but the risk is higher - and a lot of buyers that hold on to cars for a long ti

That is, of course, at least partially true. However, in the OSX analogy above, Apple had a very good platform (NeXTSTEP) that had been commercially available and proven in real-world use for ~a decade before they started modifying it to be

Amazon is also a good example of a content provider offering "streaming bundles" - you can get add-on subscriptions for HBO and other premium television providers.

Yeah, and it could also be interesting to see if they can quickly acclimate to more advanced technology. Back when the C919 launched, I read some speculation that it was built from stolen A320 plans - the dimensions are suspiciously similar

FWIW, China actually did exactly this with the Comac ARJ21 - the "smaller, regional jet" already flying that was mentioned in this article. Most groups outside China believe that the ARJ21 is produced using some manufacturing tool

In defense of the concerts: I'm an F1 fan, and I'm pretty sure I'll be able to talk at least one more person to go to the USGP with me this year so that they can catch the JT concert. I mean, it's not like it takes place
