Fair enough. Would be a hard sell to spend 1/4 of my time away from family though. If I may ask do you pay for the travel or do you get reimbursed by your employer?

Maybe a role where you can make use of your design skills as well would be a good fit as well? How many applications did you send out so far?

Sounds like a good opportunity but with 2 days mandatory in Bilbao every month you might as well limit it to Spain and Portugal only. Or do you have teammates who are flying in every month from Africa/Middle east/Central Europe?

That is making a couple of people extremely rich while contributing basically nothing back to the culture they are leeching off. I’ll take Napster over this any day, at least they didn’t have profits at the forefront.

Copyright needs reform desperately. It has been outdated and not fulfilling its purpose for decades now. This is a first step by Japan in a good direction IMO. I hope it will have some influence on the rest of the world.

Spotify just gives a damn about musicians and the culture they are leeching off. Just sad that they are the prime distributor of music to almost everyone I know and not services like Bandcamp.

That is a fair analysis, and I generally agree. But a copyright reform wouldn’t mean there is no way at all for you to monetise your great quality learning materials. In my ideal world it would mean you can monetise them for a reasonable ti

I think there would still be more than enough learning materials created to learn anything you can imagine. Education is proven to be one of the thing that impacts your life most positively if available. Yet we gate education behind money a

all forms of copying are morally permissible (without commercial use), because some forms of copying are permissible and there is not a logical distinction between various forms of copying.

I may sound like a broken record but copyright needs reform. It does not fulfill its purpose and DMCA is just one symptom of many other issues that stem from the steaming pile of garbage that is copyright in the 21st century. edit: typo

Copyright is broken and needs reform. Imagine a world where people can freely access learning materials. Sure they can do it now through „illegal“ channels but many don’t and that is negatively impacting all of humanity.

Sorry to hear that. I’m not in a position to help you but there are many selfhelp support networks in your neighbourhood that can help(most likely, assuming you live in a city). Showing up is already a giant step forwards.

Oh yea agreed, and I admit I’m often at fault for this as well. Some topics I tend to have an instant emotional reaction to and leave low quality ragebaiting comments - it’s hard to unlearn a decade of being trained to respond like this on

Friends help with everything in life. I can’t think of an aspect of my life that is not improved by my friends. Making friends is „easy“ too - treating people how you would want to be treated is a good first step.
