I manage hundreds of Linux desktops (VDI, laptops, desktops) and about 75 Windows 10 laptops. I see at least 25 Windows tickets for every Linux desktop ticket. Sure I am paid more than an equivalent Windows admin but the ongoing cost of sup

FSD is still technically level 2. In Tesla's eyes and the law's eyes you are driving and in liable for what happens.

I'm in quite a number of different highly technical discords and none are quite like comma's. I mean that in the most scathing way possible unfortunately. Disagreement and dissatisfaction are carefully curated and manicured to mak

No, that's on brand. George is a person I'd love to have a conversation with or, hell, work with but could never work for. I have had a Comma 2 for a while and the Discord has soured me to the company a bit. Lets leave it at that.

Until the 4000 series of Ryzen mobile Intel had a pretty clear lead in 15-25w part market. With wider availability of Ryzen 5000 series mobile CPUs I expect to see far more options by Q12022.

The 10 year span between 2000 and 2010 also had one of the largest relative uplifts in transistor density. Going from 130nm to 28nm was HUGE. I think people forget how quickly computers (especially in efficiency!) improved from just 2000-20

Even if you can solve any whiteboard problem a company can throw at you your attitude is so off putting, even just via text, that I am not surprised you are getting no hits. Instead of getting shit done you'll complain, blame, and stal

Unfortunately your distro decides when software updates and leaves very little in your control. Not very stable if it is updating things without your permission.

Window switching in OS X is so unintuitive it drives me MAD when you are remoting into a Mac. Finder is just god awful and does all it can to obscure your actual filesystem location but the go to folder (cmd+g?) can get you where you need t

Get a cheap 2017 Toyota Camry/Carolla and throw a Comma 2 in it. Car is half the price of a model 3 and for ~$1300 you can get level 2 ADAS. I have it in a less than optimal car (Honda Fit) and it has transformed how I drive.

It's generally split into two steps: forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking. Usually you can adjust the distance of the FCW in your infotainment system. I have to or even slight curves trigger it. I have only had AEB

I have one. Works pretty well but requires a fair bit of tweaking. It's called a dev kit for a reason. Many car models limit the amount (and at what rate) that the computer system can turn the wheel. The system is piggybacking off of t

Nope. Midwest, medium CoL, $18-20/hr to sit and reset passwords all day. Hell, I am just a sysadmin/developer with minimum experience (2yrs) and make ~$32/hr.

Hearing damage plays a role too I think. Aesop Rock is one that comes to mind where you can literally hear the hearing damage in the resulting mix. Late Zappa the same thing happened.

If you don't need the GPU another good option is the Dell Latitude 5400 (2019). I am loving the hell out of my higher tier model (8565u, 32gb ram, 1tb nvme). Yeah it's a business laptop and not very pretty but that just means you
