Just after iPhone was released I worked for a (now defunct) company that had an automated J2ME to BREW porting tool. They modified it to work on iPhone which was why they hired me. Had a few early iPhone games released through that platform

As I understand it the solar roof is a ‘vanity’ roof designed to blend in with traditional roofing, rather than bolt-on panels.

That's odd, since the NZ Covid Tracer app definitely has this feature, it's part of the standard process when someone tests positive. As far as I know it only includes the manually scanned codes though, not the bluetooth proximity

The source was available but the project was essentially dead. You could fork but contributing upstream was hard. This removes the corporate roadblocks and lets plan9 exist but itself.

Eh. It’s similar in AWS-land. Basic business hours support is $29/month or 3% of your service spend, whichever is greater. 24/7 is $100/mo or 10%, which also includes outage assistance. I’ve also worked for places with enterp

Bags are a razors + blades model. The vacuum is $100 but the bags are $30 for 3 if you buy the branded bags. Plus the suction on a bagged vacuum measurably decreases before the bag is full. These days I have a roomba and a Dyson cordless st

Python 3 uses interpreted bytecode, it’s faster than running an interpreter over an AST but much slower than using raw machine code. For most things people use Python for this is fine, especially since there are many extensions to do cpu-in

Why? Very few products need sharding, let alone multi-master. Sure a popular social media platform would, but most development in the world is for small to medium scale line-of-business apps. Postgres is _fantastic_ for these.
