I found the Logitech software absolutely horrid, and a massive resource hog. There was weird agent software hogging CPU and using memory. Also, why does my mouse config software need AI features? Uninstalled.

I think it is excellent that vocabulary describing the negative impact of mental junk food is in common use. It shows that as a society we are quickly recognising the damage it can do and are creating cultural pressures against it.

Being an experienced consultant doesn't mean you know everything about everything. Hell, I put myself in that camp and I am perfectly capable of hacks, cludge, and mistakes. Be compassionate.

I'd be tempted to RTO if offices weren't open plan distraction hell holes. My home office is quiet and I don't need to fight the open plan over stimulation.

Mind boggling the mental gymnastics people are doing in this thread to deny to themselves the obvious fact that refined sugars are bad for you.

This comment I feel sure would repulse Shannon in the deepest way. A (digital, stored) bit, abstractly seeks to encode and make useful through computation the properties of information theory. Your comment must be sarcasm or satire, surely.

Seems to me this drug is an antidote for an unregulated capitalist system creating an environment that preys on the human condition and as a result makes people unhealthy. It's just now selling you the antidote to the problems it made.

I know someone who was on a team whose proprietary software was decompiled and it still contained the code comments. They were made public. They were horrific. Assume all code may become public.
