Given the eye-watering disparity in gross revenue generated from iOS vs OS X, you really have to wonder which one is their "main OS" at this point...

Or ~1 Nokia for what it was worth before Stephen Elop ran it into the ground. (I don't buy the conspiracy theories that Elop was a Microsoft mole sent in to do exactly that. I never attribute to conspiracy what can be attributed to sta

That is an interesting idea but it would need to be refined to avoid some pitfalls. Nokia had competing internal smartphone groups, which led to much internecine corporate warfare but precious little in timely smartphone development

I think that was the idea behind the Tumblr acquisition. It's just really, really hard to buy something "hot" without killing it (by external reputation/customer satisfaction or internal employee exodus) Off the top of m

Serious question: Can they, though? I'm not doubting if Yahoo could build (or buy) some cool tech products and put them in front of their large audience. But the real question is whether their audience is the sort who would bite and ea

I agree they need to revamp their HOV situation. In my case, I have a car with an HOV sticker and I don't know if it's measuring HOV lane traffic separately from non-HOV traffic (huge difference in the Bay Area on the 101) @jonkne
