If neither you nor universities think that getting a job is more important than becoming a "good engineer" (whatever that means), then who is left to fill this void but the bootcamps you disagree with?

Tau Prolog[0] runs in the browser, but it's still a bit heavy for forms. What someone needs to do is take an implementation of Hitchhiker Prolog[1] like this one[2] – because it's so lightweight – and make it JavaScript developer

As a hobby prolog user, I understand what you're saying, but I also think the tutorial does a good job giving a novice a decent taste of how prolog "feels", pragmatically using some terminology of the average programmer. Sure

Prolog. You'll discover what it feels like to have a language that actually does hard work for you (except string manipulation...), instead of having to guide it through every little detail. Logic programming isn't actually that

Easily defeated if you make the effort . Do you want a world where we have to consciously change our gait to "easily defeat" the recognition AI? If not, then it should be banned too.

The stereotypical "nice guy" is a term for someone who thinks they're a nice guy, but then turns into an asshole when they don't get what they want. Not related.

For social networks, Manyverse is an interesting new player. It's p2p with no central server, and the app is open source. https://github.com/staltz/manyverse

Could you make the log a bit clearer? It's hard to tell solid fill vs partial fill. Great game, great work!

Prolog / Datalog are beautiful languages. They should be in the repertoire of more programmers.

If I'm not mistaken, 22k is roughly the amount you would get for placing a single software engineer in a recruitment pipeline. Job-seeking traffic is quite valuable.

To me, Datalog looks like the ideas of Redux to their highest fulfillment. You have a single source of truth (a list of facts), and you have queries to ask questions about that truth, using the powerful and succinct language that Datalog

Unfortunately, asking questions on the internet is often seen as "opposing" or "arguing against" the thing you're asking about. So many qualify their statements to avoid this sort of misreading.
