Pretty much everyone still uses PagerDuty, but Incident.io is starting to be competitive as well. I've never heard of anyone using Opsgenie or Splunk for on-call, and Opsgenie's 3-week outage or whatever is pretty damning.

I think it's mostly companies cargo culting Linear and Superhuman, whose value propositions are their superior UX for power users. I think that can work for productivity tools like them, but not sure if it makes sense for like an ecomm

It's a tech demo for its own sake. We've had cheap pre-fabricated homes for 70+ years in the US and they haven't solved the housing shortage either.
