I don't think we would ever be justified in going on the offensive nor do I think that makes us safer in any way.

You think the cartels aren't attacking us because we have missiles that can hit Mexico? I don't agree. Somewhat tangentially, the cartels only exist because the US made recreational drugs illegal.

I agree. I don't think there's really a case for the US developing any offensive weapons. Geographically, economically and politically, we are not under any sort of credible threat. Maybe AI based missile defense or something, b

The reality on the ground is that one of the very first uses of AI weapons was to target civilians in Gaza: > Moreover, the Israeli army systematically attacked the targeted individuals while they were in their homes — usually at night

Do you see nothing wrong with the same company that makes YouTube Kids making killer AI? I think creating weapons is often evil. I think companies that have consumer brands should never make weapons, at the very least it's white wash

As soon as I saw who made this, I cranked my speakers and wasn't disappointed! Linus is amazing. I recommend his cover of The Moon from DuckTales: https://linusakesson.net/chipophone/ducktalesmoon.php

I was at a party with an early FB employee once and he was bragging about how they would spy on people to see who's profiles they were looking at. He thought it was hilarious, I never used FB again. I think his exact quote was "Ho

Quiet quitting isn't about being passive aggressive. The whole idea is to do as little as possible without being noticed. Being passive aggressive is still being aggressive, that's not a good strategy.

Management has no clue who has quiet quit and who has not. Any layoffs were arbitrary or based on who's been asking for raises.

If my boss makes 100X I do, I will be doing 100X less work than them. How hard you work doesn't really have anything to do with you being fired or not, just try to be nice to those above you in the org chart and you'll survive as

An easy formula to decide how hard you should work, is to take your compensation, divide it by the total comp of the CEO then multiply 100% of your effort by the result. For example: If your total comp is $250k and your CEO's total com

I trust China a lot more than Meta and my own early tests do indeed show that Deepseek is far less censored than Llama.

You keep glossing over it (also please stop replying with multiple paragraphs stating the same things, you don’t need to have the last word and you’re doing nothing to help you “cause”). Ethnic cleansing matters , yet you said this; ”th

You just glossed over Nakba again: ”Israel was founded and for sure did some things that weren't great” The very foundation of Israel is illegitimate. That is the core issue.

You keep glossing over Nakba. It doesn’t make sense to “share the land” with people who ethically cleansed your family from said land. You say that you represent “leftist Zionism” but such a thing doesn’t exist as evidenced by your argument

You didn’t mention Nakba which is the core issue. Israel cannot exist on stolen land and be pro-peace. It really is as simple as that.

Carter was the most pro-Palestinian president of the 20th century. It's worth reading his book Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid . https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palestine:_Peace_Not_Apartheid
