Alt+Tab is typically about switching between last 2,3,4-5 _windows_ (max). It doesn't matter how many more windows you have. For that, it's other mechanisms (dock, taskbar, window list, search, ...)

I like unity in many ways, except for: 1. app centric alt+tab (100% showstopper, will not use). 2. menu on top (almost as bad) 3. hard to start multiple terminal windows Can't really say more, because of #1.

For me, it's essential that I can fluidly switch between last 2-3 or even 4 windows, no matter what they are. (I regularly move tabs into new window in firefox when I need to do this).

I'm a power user and I like it, except for application centric alt+tab and top menu bar. That is a non-starter for me. Going to use something else.

I recently tested the gnome-shell in Fedora 15 for the first time. This is my showstopper list: 1. Application oriented 2. Alt+tab sucks (mostly because of #1) 3. Terminal doesn't open new window by sefault. 4. Terminal is single-
