This is just my personal experience with their Mandarin Chinese software (disclosure: offered free through my college language lab, otherwise I never would have touched it): I hated it. I understand the idea of immersion behind the software

Although I went to WWDC, I'm also a student, and if I wanted the videos because I thought I would learn from them, I would happily pay $300 for them. Just like how I've purchased a fair number of iPhone programming books, just like how I'm

Unfortunately the browser isn't the only place to access user-generated content. Take for example a Twitter client, just by nature of being a Twitter client and theoretically having access to the public timeline with mature content is eno

If that was the label that went on the 17+ apps that are 17+ for third party content that would be fine - like for apps that would get a rating like 4+ otherwise. But it's not. Check out http://itunes.com/app/downloader for an example.

You forgot the critical part right after: Maybe Chrome OS will change all that, but Linux-based netbooks are usually running some wonky, kiosk-oriented installation, making them nigh-on unusable. I got an HP Mini 1000 a few months ago wit

Thanks for the interesting response. Most of the changes were not really about wording, more about the timeline on which certain contingencies were supposed to be met and which boxes should have been checked, which were just mostly blanks o

Jailbreak isn't necessary for unofficial tethering. There's iPhone mobile configuration profiles floating around to enable that in 3.x. Of course, you do run the risk of AT&T charging you for tethering without a plan. Sigh, I despise AT
