I just did an "apt dist-upgrade" and looks like my EEPROM got updated. These are the before and after versions. pi@4b:~ $ vcgencmd bootloader_version Apr 16 2020 18:11:26 version a5e1b95f320810c69441557c5f5f0a7f2460dfb8 (

The same two-handed scrolling thing works great on MacBooks as well. e.g. dragging while scrolling in Finder.

If I force push to the wrong branch on github, is it possible to access the remote reflog to try and recover from my mistake?

A git remote is not a backup. I could make a mistake, force push the wrong thing to the wrong place and lose a bunch of stuff.

It depends on how sophisticated your needs are. I mostly run python programs of my own on a single computer. I tell the distribution-provided pip to install an upgraded pip separately (pip3 install --user -U). I install everything using

Reading and debugging the generated makefile should not be the norm IMHO. For the same reason that is isn't usually required to read and debug generated assembly (from C), Java/Python bytecode etc.

It turns out the ifconfig command does not provide any default subnet mask parameters. That is done inside the kernel. Changing the kernel would break backwards compatibility. https://github.com/openbsd/src/blob&

Which BSDs did you try and what is the precise behavior of subnet mask parameters that you had a problem with? It would be best if you could include the exact ifconfig command, the output from running the command and what was the expected

I have to say I don't understand your point either. Okay, so we can disable secure boot. What is the next step? How does one get to running Linux natively from there?

What is the big deal with just leaving the a.out alone? I might need to run it again, maybe with different arguments. A few a.out files from test programs are not exactly worth fussing over IMHO.

I'm sorry, I don't see the benefit of runc including a small list of headers for me. A small test program like main.c ought to be self-contained and might need headers not supplied by runc.

Did they say the Linux VMs in the demo were x86? They said "virtualization", which to me, implies ARM Linux.
