I'm seriously not trolling, but why does every Go project need to say "written in Go"? You don't see things like "Linux, a kernel written in C", "Homebrew, a macOS package manager written in Ruby",

Surely there is a way to change ptrace() in the kernel underneath to make none of this stuff matter.

I would suggest starting off by reading the first few chapters of the official elisp manual https://www.gnu.org/software/emacs/manual/elisp.html and experimenting as you go along.

A VM is absolutely the best choice for experimenting with operating systems. Dual booting is rather inconvenient and can be risky, if you are not careful while setting it up. My guess would be that OP does not have a free or convenient wa

Are you saying if ubuntu served apt-gets over https, stolen private keys wouldn't be a problem?

I don't know the details but any packages that you get served should include pgp signatures, that apt should verify before installation.

You're going to need to do a lot more reading. Even just looking up the interrupts you need is a task. I've found nothign that does a good job explaining the 1, 2, and 3s of how to get all the way to booting from a formated disk.

We probably won't ever be rid of NAT. The likes of Cisco, who thrive on making things enterprisey and needlessly complicated will definitely be peddling IPv6 NAT soon, if they aren't already doing it.
