Does not look good, IMHO. If this is not useful for anything, why even bring it up? I have never encountered this in real code ever. int ((not_a_pointer)), (*ptr_a), (((*ptr_b)));

Sure, but there is a whole separate piece of newish software (watchOS? touchBarOS?) that Apple will no doubt develop, enhance and update regularly. It is perfectly capable of having its own crashes and issues.

By any chance, do you know which kernel commit(s) fixed your issue? Maybe git bisect can pinpoint the commit? It would be interesting to know what the exact bug was.

"Stack" and "heap" are implementation details. I don't think the C standard mentions those words at all.

Five years down the line Macs will be an even smaller piece of the pie. The way Apple has been neglecting Macs has me concerned of a not too distant dystopia where Apple decides that Macs and macOS are not worth the trouble any more. Sure t

Any particular reason why Apple should sell Macs at all, given they make almost all their money from other products? Besides Xcode, is there any other app (or equivalent) that can't be had on other systems?

Apple could make the equivalent of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rosetta_(software) to run x86 apps on non-Intel Macs. But the thing is, Apple has no good reason to make a different type of computer, considering compu

Is there a technical reason for this? e.g. maybe they were having issues with audio in the EFI and decided to not bother?

Does WSL implement all the Linux system calls now? The last time I looked at it, there was no support for PTYs and maybe ptrace? There was also some limitation related to running GUI programs.

Hitting dl-cdn.alpinelinux.org repeatedly for simple things is probably not nice. Is there an easy way to have a local alpine mirror?

I needed Xen for some experimentation. I had trouble running alpine-xen-3.4.4 in Fusion. XenServer 7 seems to work in Fusion, but I don't like it. I finally managed to get alpine-xen running inside KVM (Ubuntu 16.04) inside Fusion.

From the announcement: Use new Ruby Macho library for reading and writing library macOS Mach O file locations. Why does Homebrew need to parse Mach-O files? Is this for fixing up shared library paths inside executables?
