I think desirability of page limits is very subject specific. Some people will just waffle if you don't give them a page limit. Other times it means there's not room for the technical details.

I disagree. Yes #1 was best. I thought #2 was the weakest link, but with the redeeming feature of getting you to #3 and #4. Are they perfect, no, but they do have good moments aplenty and I thought the ending worth the journey. Edit: thinki

TBF it's not supposed to be a direct democracy. You can start a campaign. They can bring about change, in the long run. If a think tank was campaigning for something you didn't like, I bet you'd be first to complain about it.
