Given that Alexa was launched publicly in 2014, perhaps it was responsible for the initial increase in popularity in 2015 by raising awareness of the name? Having been on the inside of the project and directly involved in picking the name

I also have a Model 3 from December 2018. No issues / defects at all. I have had mobile service for things like rotating tires and installing a rear spoiler. Better "initial quality" experience than the VW and Subaru vehicles

I'm pretty sure that we're talking more broadly about content that's "not allowed today" (according to some decision made by some people) and there's no reason why that decision wouldn't carry weight beyon

So we're all going to go to the library and start removing (maybe burning??) all the books that are no longer proper?

Not to be difficult, but how many of those were invented in the past 27 years? Bell Labs is (barely even) a shadow of its former self. If you want to read a great book about when Bell Labs was really Bell Labs: https://www.amazon

Yup - this is very common in southern California, for example. My mother-in-law and brother-in-law's homes are both in this situation. Ours would also have been except we were lucky that the previous owner was an EV early adopter and w

Oh, I agree. I think whitelist / blacklist is a manufactured controversy. But my point is that, if people took the time to learn the background, perhaps (in both of these examples, and others), we could avoid the kerfuffles.

For a while, people were getting in trouble for using the word, "niggardly," even though it had nothing to do with the offensive term that it sounds like. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Controversies_about_the_

I think you should probably give it a try. Every car I've owned except for a $300 beater in college was manual transmission (including a modified WRX STi) and my Model 3 Performance is much more responsive to the "throttle"

When I needed a similar non-emergency procedure (cervical, rather than lumbar, MRI), my neurosurgeon, at a large, university-affiliated hospital, referred me to the in-house radiology department. Within a day or two, I received a phone call

Why? (Seriously - you seem to be assuming the answer here.) Would the same statement be true for food and shelter (also necessary for life)? Should the government be the provider for all food and shelter in order to avoid additional steps?

When we discussed this - at long length - during the original Echo development program, we consistently came to the conclusion that it should be hardware, not software, to maintain customer trust.

That really is a perfect example of why Darktable will never (I know, it's a long time) replace Lightroom on macOS at least. (Most) users are not going to adjust their core working styles - which have been consistent on the Mac platfor
