Nothing in the json spec requires that numbers are limited to those internally representable in a javascript runtime. With the right tooling, you can encode/decode very accurate numeric values. I'm not familiar with the go libra

Circus is still pretty new and rough around the edges, so I haven't totally moved away from supervisord yet. My foray there is mostly exploratory, trying to get used to it and its quirks before really diving into a comparison between t

I've used Rackspace cloud both when it used to be called Slicehost and after the full transition to the Rackspace brand. In my experience past and present, you get a better deal dollar for dollar with Linode (better disk, network, and

Bit.ly is also useful in that you can use the same link across the web and have analytics all in one place. Otherwise you'd need to check medium to track links you posted there, and some other site for links from there etc.

The DRM is meant to prevent you from (easily) capturing the stream in order to make copies and give to all your friends who haven't paid and aren't logged in.

My argument is trying to judge Pandora in the same way as radio, in that the number of plays as counted on Pandora reaches far less people than the number of plays as counted on radio. What the artist wants is to be paid for every person

Considering you have to go through the app store approval process every time you push an update out (so sitting in queue for a week even for bug fixes), building for web or android first gives you much more agility.

There are a ton of large web apps done in python. Youtube, disqus, bitbucket, The Onion, some mozilla properties, instagram are the examples that come to my mind. A simple google search would probably result in surfacing many more - see

While I don't love that Steam has DRM, I don't hate their version of it either. What MS says they'll do (and what they'll probably end up doing) is nowhere close to what Valve has done. Valve has a history of listening

One major thing that bitbucket does better: giving you information about a commit. It has side-by-side diffs, and while you're looking at a diff, you can expand the context easier. See a few lines have been modified but can't tell what me

Could you elaborate on what specific benefits using Matroska would have? One downside I can think of is that there are no programming environments (that I can think of) that ship a Matroska parser, whereas sqlite readers/writers are found
