Reminds me of that hunter2 password thing. http://www.bash.org/?244321 Basically, the website doesn't know which of the squares are red, that depends on your browser state. By clicking the red squares, you're feed

Sure, the number 80 may be rooted in a very old design decision, but that doesn't mean it's necessarily bad or suboptimal because of that. More isn't better in this case. When text gets too wide, it becomes harder to move you

Saying that it's a "failure of design" suggests there's an easy non-failure alternative. If so, can you tell us what it is? Are you sure that solution won't fail under some conditions? People like to take something

I really dislike SMS-based 2FA and do not use it at all. Imagine you're traveling, now you may have to pay 75 cents just to login somewhere. Google Authenticator-based 2FA avoids all these problems.

If you do Go development, you can do this to quickly get to root folder of any Go package: function gocd { cd `go list -f '{{.Dir}}' $1` } It uses the same syntax as go list to specify packages, so you can do, e.g.:

It's not an error, it's a design decision. I wanted the rate of time increase to be constant every year, and I wanted the time to be universal (across all timezones). I did take leap years into account by calculating the average y

I find it interesting how so many people still find it acceptable in 2014 to be using a "phone number" as their id. It's a number you can't even pick yourself: you _pay_ to get a randomly assigned digits, at best with th

I understand the problem, I'm thinking how to best solve it. FWIW, the markdown files for all chapters in that book you've linked do not contain an extra newline at the end; there's only one (just like markdownfmt leaves it).
