Ah, I only read the part I quoted, so I didn't realize that. No wonder I got downvoted. I know GitHub has at least some considerations because if you press tab, it shows a hidden "Skip to content" button (which I thought was

I feel like I must've experienced near drowning or something, because I find the experience of drowning very easy to imagine and relate to. I don't really recall anything specific.

I made it my new year's resolution in 2015 to have Flash disabled. For my use case, it works great. Longer battery, less heat, and the internet still works. I do turn it on (enable) every now and then for some sites, but very few/

Oh, ok. I know GopherJS math package uses some native JavaScript funcs that are fast, but I think math/big does not have a native implementation.

Do you have a link to the Python version? What was used to generate it? Also, what browser did you use, I'm curious.

Yep. I was willing to pay for good games, but they had nothing new for years.

If someone were to port the Go compiler to it, there'd be so much more software that could run (natively, statically, no runtime library) without additional effort from the software developers.

This is not a comprehensive answer, but it's additive. If you're looking at a large Go codebase with many packages, I find it helpful to visualize their import graph with a little command [0]. Here are results of running it on con

http://docs.gl/ - Convenient reference for OpenGL APIs Also, if you're interested in OpenGL with Go (and IMO Go is excellent to use with OpenGL), look at: https://github.com/avelino/awesome-go#open

There are some minor differences beyond types. For example, getShaderParameter is WebGL only. See https://github.com/BSVino/docs.gl/issues/9 .

I don't think that's a good reason to use GPL. I think it's better for something to be open source when its creator wants it to be open, not because they're forced to.

I have already replaced all JavaScript with Go (by using GopherJS compiler) in my personal projects, as of about a year ago. I am really enjoying it and I don't see myself going back to writing JavaScript by hand anytime soon. I use it

Does anyone know the name of the most common small font from Windows XP? For example, when you right click and a context menu appears, or the names of files in explorer.

Color me interested. With this, and https://github.com/rakyll/go2xcode , I might actually try making some apps to run on my iOS device now.

Does anyone know when we're getting access to UDP in browser? I am really excited about the possibility hinted at http://www.w3.org/2012/sysapps/tcp-udp-sockets/ and already have plans for how to use it.

There were a few slides with numbers and detailed performance graphs in Andrew's preceding talk. See http://talks.golang.org/2015/state-of-go-may.slide#10 and nearby slides.

Very nicely put, I agree. Also, the author says: > go get fetches dependencies, and their dependencies, > and so on. But it doesn’t help you to figure out what > you’ve got. You can’t do the equivalent of a pip list.
