I would also suggest you read: http://www.shtylman.com/archives/319 A while back I recapped what happend between myself and Dwolla and why they are not a useful service.

Anyone that is thinking about using Dwolla needs to read about this incident and understand what happened. Dwolla was completely unable to understand or handle the fraud. In addition, they are in total denial that the only reason anyone car

It is not a benefit if that money isn't actually there. They provide no guarantee that the funds are yours to use since they can be hit with chargebacks and will just take the money from you. This is just as bad as paypal.

It personally happened to me. I had a Dwolla merchant account for a while and then it was hit with fraud. Dwolla took all the funds out of my account and provided no real way for me to try and get them back. They WILL NOT work with you to r

Honestly, as long as they are still passing the chargebacks on to merchants then none of these "procedures" matter. Because Dwolla keeps the user information secret you have to trust them to do all the resolution and such. In the meantime,

No, Dwolla WILL take your money if they are hit with chargebacks. Do NOT use them if you value your payments.

Articles do not combat fraud. Until Dwolla actually starts protecting merchants from fraud and covering the losses themselves they will remain unsafe to use.

Until I see how they are dealing with fraud instead of just shafting their merchants I won't touch anything Dwolla no matter how pretty they think their api is.

I actually meant this as a negative. I view chargebacks as a pain point in many cases (for merchants etc) not a positive. I was hinting at the the fact that this system probly has chargebacks and again is no better than before.

Why would anyone trust Dwolla for these transfers when they are not able to even handle the current fraud they get? Using a third party so heavily will just mean you are completely subject to their whims. How does this system handle chargeb

I recently wrote a bit about why I think Dwolla doesn't understand their problem and what the core of their business really is. I have a strong doubt that a central entity is the best way to approach the problem of money transfers and after

"The parallel between PHP and Node.js is evident." Just because you say something doesn't make it true. I found nothing in the article really linking the two other both being used for "web stuff". Everything else was either a design choice

The last paragraph should have been the first. Why write this piece on "stealing" and infringement when you don't even know the facts?

Can someone explain to me why it isn't the browsers responsibility to enforce this instead of relying on websites to "do the right thing"?

The Bee didn't assemble itself, nor did it look robotic to me yet as it was not even shown if it could fly or do other tasks. Very cool demo tho.

I still don't see the draw of using coffeescript server side. Why bother using the language (javascript on node.js) if you are just gonna turn it into something else? Wouldn't ruby suit your needs better? To some degree I kinda feel like ma

I personally don't find this example very helpful in showing why I would do this. The regex is simple enough and to me the comments are the equivalent of "return here", needless and distracting.

Is this just who contributes on github? There is more to open source than just contributing on github. Also, just because you open sourced a piece of code, does that really justify it to be open source on the same level as gcc? or some othe
