There’s basically no reason to ever answer a call from an unknown phone number, let alone engage and divulge private data. If it’s important they’ll leave a voicemail. Going further, I’d say it’s basically safe to always block missed calls

Set time aside where you won’t do anything except your task. Even 15 minutes helps. No big deal spending 15 minutes on something, right? Get a stack of sheets of paper and a pencil. Start laying thoughts down, some bullet points and a basic

I think we’re burnt out by too much thrash. Too much disingenuous work, too much greed, too much friction, too much wasted effort, too many stairs to nowhere. We see the soullessness and greed in our bosses, in founders, in the VCs that fun

I for one believe the quality of generally accessible k12 eduction is America’s biggest problem, by far. Who’s to build if there’s no good system for creating builders? Public k12 education in America is abysmal and few people are talking a

This is awesome. Shouldn't this be every engineer's dream? Why do someone else's bidding in a boring corporate megastructure, or in a startup bullied by sharky venture capitalists into making a compromised product, and making

Imagine the lazy Fibonacci series. As long as you keep taking a number, the next one in the series is generated. It’s not incorrect to say it’s “potentially infinite”. And it exists, as the live algorithm that keeps cranking as long as you

This is true if you assume that the simulating world is what’s being simulated in the simulated world. That is, if bacteria exist only in the simulated world, then if you’re a bacterium there’s 100% probability that you’re simulated.

Tangent but it seems to me that this Covid situation is ripe ground for the next crypto bubble. The envisioned endgame on which the 2017 bubble was based was “hyperbitcoinization,” the prospect that national currencies would give way to bit

I agree with your sentiment if “wasting life” is taken to mean long lasting negative impact and loss of momentum in people’s lives. This is happening already, to my friends.

We need some meta tech innovation that precludes these slippery slope scenarios. Otherwise we’ll be in innovation paralysis because all roads lead to big brother.

In my opinion, a successful startup proves a market exists, it doesn’t have to fit a product to it. But it’s important to create IP relevant to exploiting the market. A very successful startup demonstrates multiple angles on one or more mar
