My problem is I can't see how higher value jobs like developer aren't devalued a few years later after the "low tech" jobs If you can get AI to read a newspaper could it read an API spec or ask a few questions and genera

I like the idea but data collection seems like a big chunk of the costs. And if you going to go that far why not create an api to host it and charge for usage and pay back initial "investors".

You forgot the biggest reason. Antitrust enforcement. Would facebook be facebook had it had to compete with instagram? Would google be google without youtube or doubleclick?
