Is there anything with the new pricing approach that prevents Reddit from giving OpenAI more favorable negotiated rates that are not publicly disclosed?

Agreed. Seeing how leaders' thoughts and opinions evolve as they gain more experience and perspective is more valuable by far than the original posts alone. It also helps avoid the image of a person being viewed as fixed and one dimens

They have a timeline to IPO. Reddit took $50m almost 10 years ago. They believe this will blow over quickly so they'd rather rip off the band-aid.

It's almost like companies wanted these layoffs to happen simultaneously to remove the leverage tech workers had due to steep hiring competition. Hard to push back when there's a glut of unemployed highly skilled tech workers.

I've been trying to figure out what I might need to do in order to turn my Obsidian vault into a dataset to fine tune against. I'd invest a lot more into it now if I thought it would be a key to an AI learning about my the way it

From their privacy policy it looks like they may partner with data aggregators and onboard hashed identifiers (email, MAID etc) to join against and enrich their data. It should be very obvious to people why Reddit was pushing for an email o

Honestly it's so much better for work life balance and mental health to not have your work device present after the work day ends or on weekends. I won't go back as long as I'm able.

I've been in marketing and media for almost 20 years, been a Reddit user for almost that long, and have run teams owning both buy and sell side, including at a publisher platform. My $.02 CPM is that yes, Reddit can improve their rates

Are users finding usefulness and time savings in the suggestions even if they ultimately reject them? I'm thinking of scenarios where they might get an idea and then reject them and rewrite it better.

What it doesn't tell us though is how useful the rejected recommendations were. Meaning, how many rejected solutions were sufficient to give the engineer enough context to turn a 30m task into a 5m task because they generated a recomme

If you're a coder churning out tickets with zero input, probably not much value in product sense as nobody is looking for your opinions on it. If you're an engineer at a company that makes it a point to give them a seat at the tab

Reminds me of my paid search agency days. We'd joke that Google rep recommendations usually amounted to "increase budgets, increase bids." Which made it all the more hilarious when I got sent a slide deck by my rep (because I
