Yeah, and C can get unreadable fast. Obfuscated C contest is a great example: https://www.ioccc.org But that doesn't mean it's a good idea to use such style for PRs, lol.

Will WebReder switch to WGPU / Vulkan as well?

Ruby's syntax is much nicer. I just can't stand the idea of using whitespace for scope delimiting.

I remember poking at it in the binary editor and finding a byte that changed the color palette from red base to green and blue.

I'm not using Ubuntu, but any recent version of Firefox supports VAAPI by default for quite some time already. So may be check your version or check what Ubuntu is doing wrong / use something else. What I want to see is VAAPI enco

Interesting, hasn't heard of it. Is it the same in features? It doesn't seem to support Wayland though.

Yeah, I've seen it in action (nomachine/nx) It's not bad. But problem is that it's not open source, so it's sort of DOA, unlike all the open options. They should have opened it from the start for it to be relevant.

FreeRDP is pretty feature rich, so I wouldn't call it a kludge. For any kind decent remote desktop access you need good performance, specifically low latency. X11 just isn't there. Headless server is headless server - you can'

For barebones window forwarding (no input) I use something like gpu-screen-recorder with SRT streaming output and play the result on the other end with mpv / ffplay. Haven't looked into it, but FreeRDP might support specific windo

Vulkan is the modern option, the difference is not being stuck with legacy paths and using something that allows explicit sync. Wayland is also the modern option, so I don't really worry about X11 use cases. For remote desktops, better

What I want to see: * Use Vulkan for rendering instead of OpenGL * Drop dependency on GTK (it's a source of many problems) and just implement their own full fledged Wayland handling like Wine is doing. * Back Servo again as the future

I have a backlog of games, so lately I buy only if I plan to play it. I don't use bundles - that's the source of most the unplayed games.

GOG is DRM-free indeed. Others like MS Store and Epic? Lol, they aren't better than Steam in regards to DRM. I prefer GOG, but it's cool that Valve are advancing Linux gaming.

I don't think it's a big reason not to allow it, since they allow webm with AV1 video which shouldn't be any better than AVIF in practice for compatibility purposes.

In this case it's more about keeping things in check and not letting one person with an attitude to ignore kernel development rules derail the whole project. I'm not saying those concerns are wrong, but when it's causing a fa

Imagine asking to prove a relatively difficult theorem. That's a similar type of question and it's a waste of time during an interview. Once you know the proof (know the algorithm), the idea might seem trivial, but coming up with
