As someone who has previously used Chef and is currently using Ansible, I can understand those pain points. For me it's not as much of a problem as I have 10x less servers, but I have heard a lot of complaints about Ansible scaling. I

Even though we found our place on craigslist, be aware that 90% of postings are scams. In the City, you really need to remember the phrase "if it's too good to be true, it probably is".

I used to be a Chef user, and although I do love it, it's overkill for the current infra I am supporting. I haven't had too many issues with Ansible, I love it's simplicity, just lately there have been some annoying regressio

Definitely agree with this. I use the docker module extensively and found 2 regressions[1][2] that I went through the trouble of debugging down to a single commit, but still have no idea whether anyone is going to fix them. I'm hoping

So as someone who is just about to implement Fluentd, what is the status of using LogZoom with docker? Currently, with Fluentd all I have to do is set the log-driver and tags in DOCKER_OPTS, point fluentd to ES, and I have all my container

Anywhere I see Docker on Mac mentioned, I always point people to Dinghy. It has solved a lot of the issues the vanilla solutions had (NFS, fsevents etc) and the maintainer is incredibly responsive. I would love to see Docker come up with so

From someone who has wasted many hours trying to get B2D working, I have ended up using https://github.com/codekitchen/dinghy Easier to use, more reliable and some nice features like the OPs .docker DNS and NFS shares.

I actually did an evaluation of password storage services recently and chose LastPass over 1Password for a couple reasons: 1. 1Password is SUPER expensive for what it is. You really pay for the fact that it looks nice and integrates well wi

The only benefit I have ever seen with Bitbucket is it is priced per user instead of per repo which is only a benefit if you have smaller teams. The very first project I created for myself in my new role was to move everything out of Bitbuc
