Even though we found our place on craigslist, be aware that 90% of postings are scams. In the City, you really need to remember the phrase "if it's too good to be true, it probably is".
- KKKKkkkk1 10y agoI rented three times off Craigslist and have not had any trouble. I did respond to a couple of the ads that were "too good to be true" just for the heck of it. The poster came back with a request to wire them money, which was pretty obviously a scam. I wouldn't rent without seeing the place first so this was not a problem anyway. But if you're trying to rent sight-unseen, then you probably should use a service with more serious vetting.
