I get the argument (and counter arguments), but regardless of where one stands, can we all appreciate the irony of the Electronic Frontier Foundation making an appeal for paper fiat?

I'm not familiar with conservatism in the Netherlands, but I don't think that is accurate description of conservatism in the US. A conservative sees inherent value in clean air, water, land for future generations and for preserva

> Just like a tent revival, sinners are welcome as long as they already want to repent, but there's not going to be a lot there to make you feel good if you aren't a believer. I think this is a really good analogy I'd not

I’ve often said the same thing. South Pole and underwater cities would be easier than mars or even moon colony. As much as I want the later to happen- I think 1 million people on Mars or Moon will require something that makes them more ap

Can I ask _how_ you did this? I've done some things like block sites on various devices, etc. But I do find myself still - when I'm waiting for a build to complete or whatever - sliding over to whateveroutragesite.com almost com

As others have mentioned your url is incorrect. FWIW, I was always taught that this verse meant that, since God is love, if one loves God first, it will improve ones love for family, etc. Also that when one does love their children, etc,

Agree 100%. I've felt a little guilty too. I started working from home full time about 4 months before covid landed in US. I'd built a nice above garage office. Kids homeschooled already. Planted a garden that's doing we

One thing I’m not finding in this or similar tools is how to do row level authorization. For example: imagine a “forms” table. Users can submit forms and see and edit “their” forms, but not those of other users. Users need GET/POST

I built https://rootshirechess.glitch.me/ for my kids to play chess with cousins and grandparents during the epidemic. I put “buy me a coffee” on and posted a couple places about it. Made ~24$ on it ;)

Absolutely have been saying this for years. It’s ridiculous for iMessage to be a walled garden. How would it be if emails from iPhone could only go to other iPhones? Yet shrink the email and put a blue bubble around it and that’s just fi

I’m probably the worst person to give advice on this. I have a board full of half baked ideas and never enough time to do them. But one thing that comes to mind in general about “analysis paralysis” is to give yourself permission to fail.

ELI5 "anti-correlated" here? What I envision is the temporal circuit acting like a computer clock, and the other as input/output. But "anti correlated" makes it sound like that's not the case?
