This part of the reason why I suggested a way to quickly and easily upload dox from intrusions like this to be searchable and viewable online here: http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=2615226

Yep, the dox linked here are pretty old. Topiary, Kayla and a bunch of others listed are members of Anon as well, giving the theory of Lulzsec and Anon being related more credibility.

What would you suggest as better options and what are some examples of the ones you've alluded to? The way I see it, any shift away from the current common scheme would cause problems with either of both compatability and ease of use. It'd

That list on Quoratop is dominated by tech bloggers and pundits. Not industry experts. Just a bunch of people with tons of followers and hours logged on Twitter and at conferences. When you can converse with core contributors to openbsd, op

Do you really think every time Sony is penetrated, it's announced and everything is dumped like Lulzsec and other loud mouths do? The much more likely thing is that these vulnerabilities were known for quite awhile before.

Is this supposed to be some kind of joke? FUD and unsubstantiated claims? The short irc snippets are also pretty funny. They don't tell you anything, and for what it's worth, this isn't some 1337 secret you've stumbled on. Anyone can fire u

Agreed. I've tried many clients over the years and loved bitchX from the old days and now use irssi exclusively. It's great and really easy to learn. Very scriptable as well.

Don't worry, anything that the hivemind likes for the moment will rocket up, no matter how shitty. Groupon=sucks iz goood, no matter if it's worthless meta.

Thanks, great find. A lot of really inspiring advice on ignoring conventional wisdom, getting around gatekeepers, and being persistent in one's target.
