   On WaniKani: that’s correct. In their FAQ (I think?) they link out to an article on Tofugu (aiui run by the same people) which gives you a couple good anki decks to learn hiragana and katakana. I started wanikani without knowing either, and

   From your numbers Vantablack is 0.035%, whereas the new process bottoms out at 0.3%. So they’re within 10x of Vantablack, but not on the same level.

   I’ve even heard people use “die” as both the singular and plural! It’s the only singular/plural pair I know of where 3 of the 4 permutations show up in common parlance. I’ll be thrilled if I ever hear someone use dice as sing. and die
