Amazing, thank you. The book holds a lot of memories for me. Since I'm currently redecorating my office, I think that print would be perfect.

I'm confused by the dating in the article. It refers to an ancient Buddhist stupa towering over the streets, but later says the city was abandoned by 1700 BCE. This would be over 1,000 years before the founding of Buddhism. Or am I mis

> Deliveroo cared too much about end-users My experience with Deliveroo in Ireland has been completely the opposite of that. I was a Deliveroo Plus subscriber, but now I don't use Deliveroo at all. Customer service was non-existent,

That's a great documentary. In most cities, stray animals are rounded up, but I liked the approach in Istanbul.

Same as the other commenters, I got the first couple wrong, but then quickly realised what I was looking for. You can see artefacts in the skin of many of the faces, and often the ears were the giveaway.

A lot of my early x86 assembly language programming was done in debug.exe before I could afford MASM. One command that is burned into my memory was invoking the low-level formatting routine on a hard drive: g=c800:5

Exactly. I don't have a Twitter account for precisely this reason. Without an account, you have to be very careful about scrolling before Twitter decides you've seen enough. If the content is really interesting, then I might resor

I don’t want to cast doubt on his claims either, but I was unable to find anyone with the surname Kopaliani in any of the main or cadet branches of the house of Bagrationi.

I have a wonderful book called the “Rudge Book of the Road” from the 1920s that’s full of stuff like this. It was written as a companion for Rudge-Whitworth motorcycles and tells you how to determine direction of travel by looking at trees

I wouldn’t necessarily always conflate the Daily Mail’s “more detail” with “more accurate detail”. I personally know the subject of one of the Daily Mail’s (and other red top papers) more lurid stories and most of the “details” are complete
