It's great to see that spam will drop on the few text-based newsgroups I'm still subscribed to. I detest what Google has done to newsgroups, and I'd love for there to be another credible archive.

The comments on this article are even more interesting. The product manager for Apple Pascal has a copy of the poster signed by Niklaus Wirth.

Agreed. I've driven an EV for over 4 years and range anxiety vanished after the first few months. I live in a city with good charging options, but often have to take longer road trips to see aging parents who live in a very rural area

For me it was a lack of specific instructions on how to handle overlaps. The edge case that frustrated me for a while was "oneight" at the end of a line. My initial code made it look like this "1ight", when it should hav

It often did, particularly on older versions of Windows. I helped uncover a bug in Epson printer drivers ~20 years ago that was caused by a specific graphics card.

I use Eternal September too. I wish that there was another archive of Usenet. Google’s “stewardship” of it has been predictably disastrous.

I usually have a couple of books on the go at the same time. So, right now I’m reading “A Month By The Sea” by Dervla Murphy. It’s a fascinating account of a month she spent in Gaza. I’m also reading “The Plague” by Camus.

I never had a personal Facebook account. I had a developer account about 10 years ago when I was contracted to write an app for a client. I was horrified at the level of information you could scrape using the API and vowed to never have a p

That doesn't match my experience in Ireland. I select co-working spaces or meeting rooms, add options and checkout. I've never spoken to a Regus advisor.

That’s probably wise. I wish I had waited. Since upgrading to Sonoma, I have recurring issues with the system file dialog. Sometimes the dialog will open, but not allow me to save, other times it will just fail to open altogether. Any time

Slight nitpick: the Amiga was released in 1985, so the system dates at least from 1986. Other sources say 1987, which is not the "early 1980s" as the article says. However, it's still cool that it's running. I love seein
