Very cool, thanks for sharing! Another challenging dimension is to balance what the EVM is good for with the problem you're actually trying to solve. It's certainly interesting to work in an environment where inefficiency literall

Anecdote in Toronto: I bike to a beach volleyball game with some friends from the same place in the downtown core. It takes me 16 minutes to get there by bike, it takes the rest of the team about 30-45 minutes to get there by car.

(I live and bike in Toronto) The streetcar tracks are definitely something you need to be aware of. If you do your best to cross perpendicularly and avoid rapid swerves when it's raining, it's pretty safe. I spend most of my time

I agree, and clearly we're all grateful that you took the time to write up the tips even if they are on Twitter. Perhaps it's best to treat Twitter as a place for drafts, then take the time to write up a more polished piece after?

Great list, but Twitter is really not the best platform for this kind of content. Some of the screenshots have such bad compression artifacts that it's difficult to make out the before/after changes. For example: https:/

The post ends right before the step I was more interested to read more about: The AMO submission process. When I ported my extension, I spent a couple of days fixing the frontend Chrome code to work on Firefox, but then spent about a full m

Once upon a time, https://tweepsect.com/ would get upwards of 650,000 visits/mo so I slapped some Fusion Ads (now Carbon Ads) on it and it brought in about $200-300/mo. It has slowly declined down to tens of thous

Hey HN, I wrote this post. I'm getting the sense that not a lot of commenters are taking the time to read the contents before reacting to the title, so I'll share a little spoiler/TL;DR: Good boilerplate is boilerplate that u

I like the idea of (semi?)automagically decrypting/verifying content on the web. It's on the list of ideas to explore, but not sure how soon. :) If you have more specific use cases in mind, I'd love to hear them.

Before we settled on building a browser extension, my first proposal was actually to build a password manager on top of Keybase. It's a very exciting idea, but also the scope is pretty huge. Right now the team is focused to get the Key

Publishing encrypted tweets wouldn't work too well with the character limit and all, unless I suppose we use images and OCR[0]. For things like encrypting emails inline, we could explore it but I'm not convinced it's a good u

The ultimate goal is to support any browser that implements the standard WebExtension API. Right now we're doing rapid prototyping so we're sticking to just Chrome for the time being, but more browsers will come as soon as we figu
