You don't need to buy or sell from just other Coinbase users. It can be anyone. Coinbase doesn't have a huge market share yet, so it's even less likely. I think a fair way to read it is that $1M worth of transactions occurred of which Coinb

Thank you for taking the time to write these translations. In fact, I'm going to bookmark this thread and use it as a reference in the future. I feel these examples serve more as a selling point for why one would use something like `replace

Why do we play videogames? Why do we create art? Why do we eat tasty unhealthy foods? Why do we go on hikes or climb rocks? Why do we write posts complaining about other people not saving the world? We do things we enjoy, things we're passi

Perhaps a coincidence, but the choice of date—the anniversary of his arrest—feels rather convincing. "Since his arresting the early morning of January 11, 2011 — two years to the day before Aaron Swartz ended his life..." http://lessig.tum

In addition to the other links in this thread, Fernando's PyCon.ca keynote's has a great introduction to the power of IPython and how it's revolutionizing the scientific (and soon the general developer) communities. https://www.youtube.com

Everyone is piling on the "stop trying to feature-creep Stripe!" wagon but there is at least one reasonable suggestion in this post: A per-user fee tacked onto an existing plan. > In total there are 4 different tax rates and then no ta

I was one of those people who spent ridiculous number of hours in Skyrim, but that's a rare and far-between luxury. For every one great game like Skyrim, I pay for a dozen mediocre games that I play for maybe an hour or two. The amount of t

I suspect the necessity of the PHP path may be outdated. Today, I imagine the lowest barrier to entry would be to build a one-button install on one of the many PaaS's with free tiers. Heroku, DotCloud, maybe even an Amazon micro EC2 instanc
