Animals has a lot to do with it - Animals are sentient, thinking, feelings beings. A calf has the same personality and emotions as a puppy.

True, tho I haven't, myself, been able to reach a point where it bothers me. So far, my biggest annoyance was The Neverending Story soundtrack became unavailable (my daughter loves it). And I have very broad taste in music.

Rdio, in my mind, is far superior in a lot of ways anyway. I had a friend paying for a Spotify for me a few years ago, and switched to Rdio because I liked it better (and not because it was available in Canada too).

Looks like you said pretty much the same thing I did, while I was writing mine. A good point about people might go for the Paperback with a smaller price difference also.

Now that I've bought his book for $5, i agree, he should raise the price of it :) But I think the bigger thing is that price difference between the Paperback and the Kindle version. I see the Kindle at $5 and I think the value of the

This is what I was thinking as well. Did he also send this letter privately, but posted publicly to get support as well? That seems the only logical way to do it, if he hopes to get a response.

There's at least 100 idea people working on it right now - I guarantee it. We've heard from a few of them ourselves. As for it being successful - it depends on so so so many factors. It's impossible to know for sure, but it

Thanks for these (and to the person who posted the parent link) - this is very interesting. I'm not sure why exactly, but I love it.

I am flat footed. I bought a standing mat (one that is made for a kitchen/workshop) and then got some great shoes (ones intended for nurses and doctors). I did this about 1 week into switching to a standing desk cold turkey. I switch

My uncle was very close friends with Sri Chinmoy, and I met him a few times in my youth. Fascinating man.

Right. Cause you're totally just staring at the screen that is playing the music, not at all doing something else while the music plays.

IndieGoGo has nothing to do with this, aside from it being on their site. It's a poorly written headline. If anything it should say 'Gawker fund raises enough money...' But yes, i'm very happy to see others succeeding at crowdfunding outs

If I think hard about what it was that inspired me to work with computers and teach myself everything I know - it was John Lasseter, Ed Catmull and Pixar. At the time, I didn't even know the story behind Pixar and Steve Jobs - but what ins

This is great. For some reason, I read it as the point to this was the third kind of laziness, and how to overcome that. It seemed like the least obvious of the three, and also once I read it, how to overcome it was also the least obvious

This article should say 'Crowdfunding' instead of 'Kickstarter' - that's truly the part of the 'newest lean startup tool'. It's not about Kickstarter being that tool, but what Kickstarter enables when using them. There's plenty of options,

Sketch is also wonderful. The thing is, Fireworks has the Bitmap editing involved too which is really nice to have on hand in the same program.

That's not the point. The point is having to use all three of those apps to achieve what the wonderful Fireworks did all on its own.

Yeah, I se/used Fireworks for almost everything. Designing in it is the easiest i've ever experienced, and I've been using it for over a decade as well.

I switched to Sketch because of Adobe's abysmal support and direction with Fireworks. I'm not surprised this is happening, but I'm sad. I still use Fireworks, but figured I had to start getting used to something else in preparation. They'r

Only the US and UK - that's disappointing seeing as how Rdio served Canada early, and that's part of the reason I gave them a shot, and really love them now. But it doesn't look like it'll be the unlimited streaming variety, so i'm not sure
