Do you have any connection to Portugal? I imagine if you have Portuguese in any of your prompts that might bleed into your user profile which becomes a part of every prompt. Alternatively it might use browser language settings

I'm one of the people that wouldn't buy a card without android auto and carplay support Car UIs are just universally awful. Even if somehow you find one with a decent UI, it will never get updated and within 5 years it will suck

I checked and it doesn't look like any UK banks have this option - at least I looked at about 5 different banks websites and all have pages suggesting you always select to pay in local currency but none of them have any information on
